Wilbur "Pete" Lee Marksberry | Serenity Funeral Care
Pete served his country proudly in the United States Army and was deeply devoted to his community. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, where he cultivated lasting friendships. Pete found joy in various hobbies, including playing cards, attending Turkey shoots, woodworking, shooting pool, and trying his luck with lottery tickets. However, his greatest happiness came from sharing special moments with close friends and family, especially his grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
Preceded in death by his brother Jim McArter and sisters Rosella Guilliams, Betty McArter, and Jackie Brooks, Pete is survived by his wife of 46 years, Donna Marksberry, son Wilbur (Pete) Marksberry III, daughter Patricia (Danny) Kiefer, sisters Brenda Gibson, Wilma Stephens, and Judy Marksberry, as well as grandchildren Lily Marksberry, Sean Marksberry, Adelynn Kiefer, and Amelia Kiefer.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Mission Church of God in Florence, KY, where Pastor Wayne Guilliams will officiate the services.
Pete will be remembered for his kind and giving nature by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Online condolences can be expressed on Facebook or at SerenityFuneralCare.com.
