Florence, Kentucky — Ragan Bond Beatty, 87, of Florence, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 26, 1937, in Ruston, Louisiana, Ragan was the beloved son of Howard and Louise Beatty. He joins his siblings Claudia, Jack, Margaret, Irene, and Polly in eternal rest.

Ragan served with pride in the United States Air Force, carrying his service with honor throughout his life. After meeting his true love, Barbara Gray, Ragan embarked on a beautiful journey. Settling in Kentucky, he worked with dedication at Votel Contractors and Ken Builders/API until his retirement in 2000.

A devoted member of Union Baptist Church in Union, Kentucky, Ragan found solace and joy in his faith and community. He cherished the outdoors, finding peace in fishing, camping, and tending his garden. Ragan and Barbara shared countless adventures, traveling to all 50 states and enjoying cruises with friends. An avid card player, he delighted in the company of loved ones.

Ragan is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara, and their children: Pam Evans (George), Kim Coffey (Robert), and Greg Beatty (Rosanne). He leaves a legacy through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow, with Ragan to be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Union Baptist Church are appreciated.

Ragan's spirit of love, faith, and laughter will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
