NEWPORT, Kentucky — Anna Marie (Betty) Roach, a lifelong resident of Newport, passed away on February 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood at the age of 95. Known affectionately as "Betty Boop," Betty was a vibrant homemaker and a beloved member of the community.

Betty had a zest for life that was infectious to all who knew her. She had a great sense of humor and a sharp wit, making her the life of the party wherever she went. Betty cherished each day, always stating how much she loved her life and lived it to the fullest. She took pride in her meticulously maintained flower gardens and loved to decorate, especially for the holidays. Betty was actively involved in various organizations, including the USO during WWII, the Mother's Club, and the Bellevue Vets Retirees.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Roach, her sons Ron, Steve, and Bob Roach, and other beloved family members. She is survived by her daughter, Erleen Burdine, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

A visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4, at Holy Spirit Church in Newport, followed by burial at St. Stephen Cemetery in Ft. Thomas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
