Anita Rose Cox Remembered Fondly for Her Legacy of Love

Anita Rose Caldwell Cox (Diddie), 89, of Crittenden, KY, was born on August 18, 1935, and peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Anita retired from Turfway Park after many years of dedicated service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Cox Jr.; parents Leonard Caldwell and Ida Mae Surgeon Caldwell; sisters Edna Craddock Sorrell, Mae Baker, Mary Katherine Goodman, and brother Robert Caldwell. Wanda Iseral and her husband, James of Verona, KY, are among her surviving siblings.

Carrying on her legacy are her daughter, Beverly Cox of Tampa, Florida, and son Gary Cox and wife Rebecca of Frenchburg, KY, along with 3 grandchildren: Bryan Burgess and wife Penny of Tampa, Florida; Christopher Burgess and wife Joelle of Palm Harbor, Florida; and April McLain Dever and husband Benjamin of Orlando, Florida, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Anita will be held at 12 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, where visitation is scheduled from 11 AM to 12 PM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kidney Foundation in honor of Anita Rose Cox.

Anita will be remembered for her legacy of love, and the impact she made on her family will forever be cherished.
