Jean C. Kleintank Lancaster, 88, of Union, passed away on January 23, 2025, at her home. She was born on February 12, 1936, in Bromley, Kentucky, to John Ellwood and Lillian Kleintank. Jean was the second oldest of four siblings, with sisters Arlene Kleintank Reeves, the late Nancy Kleintank Herrington, and brother Ronald, who was tragically lost in a car accident shortly after his 18th birthday.

She found strength in her faith-God's guidance, and the love of her paternal grandmother, Ida Kleintank. Jean's life was marked by empathy and care for others instilled by her grandmother's example. Throughout her life, Jean was deeply devoted to her family, community, and faith.

In 1957, she married Dawson Lancaster and shared 56 years of marriage raising their three sons. Jean's family was her pride and joy, and despite personal tragedies, motherhood was her most cherished role. She faced challenges with resilience and love, making sacrifices for her family's well-being.

Jean's steadfast faith and love of people guided her throughout life. She dedicated her time to Burlington Baptist Church, impacting many lives through her work with preschoolers and devotion to nurturing young hearts. Her compassion, kindness, and faith were evident in her interactions and service within the church community.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion will be carried on by her family and remembered by those whose lives she touched. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, with a private funeral service the following day. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Burlington Baptist Church, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or a charity of the donor's choice to honor Jean's memory.

To honor Jean C. Lancaster's memory, memorial trees or flowers can be ordered for the family through the dedicated flower store.
