Helen Louise Glass, Devoted Jehovah's Witness and Mother, Dies at 100

Helen Louise Glass, age 100, of Independence, KY, peacefully passed away on February 26, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY, surrounded by her children. Born on May 18, 1924, in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Moree) Swegles.

Helen dedicated 66 years of her life faithfully serving as a Jehovah's Witness, attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cold Spring, KY. Her unshakable faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she impacted many with her kindness, love, and devotion.

Preceded in death by her husband Samuel Glass, son Jeffrey Glass, brothers James, Thomas, and Joseph Swegles, and sisters Mary Sudbrack and Della Dvorak, Helen is survived by her children: Christopher (Karen) Glass, Sam (Joanne) Glass, Glenna (Bill) Eggleston, and Lora Glass. She is also survived by her sisters Martha (Charles) Gadd and Gerry (Wayne) Michaels, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Walton, KY, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM. Helen will be interred at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY, beside her husband Samuel. Floral arrangements may be sent to 85 McMillan Drive in Independence, KY.

Helen's memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire generations to come.
