Gary Lee Bowman, a devoted firefighter and beloved family member, passed away on January 13, 2025, at 78. Born on June 13, 1946, Gary's life was marked by a deep commitment to serving others. He began his service in the United States Navy, dedicating four years to the nation's defense. Subsequently, Gary served the community as a firefighter with the Covington Fire Department, demonstrating unwavering commitment and distinction over his 22-year tenure.

Gary's legacy is one of selflessness and courage, traits that defined his professional and personal life. His military experience instilled discipline and a sense of duty that he carried into his firefighting career, where he faced challenges with integrity and compassion.

Survived by his brother Robert Bowman and sister-in-law Judy, Gary will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and family members. He is now reunited with his parents, Robert and Anna Bowman, his wife Vickie Lynn Bowman, and his brother Larry Bowman in peace.

The memory of Gary Lee Bowman will remain a source of inspiration for his community and a beacon of love for those who had the privilege of knowing him.
