Kenneth E. "Ken" Pennington | Floral Hills Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home & Mausoleum

Kenneth E. Pennington, age 96, of Kenton County, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born in a 2-room mountainside cabin near Dryden, Virginia, Ken was known for his resilience, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma Pennington, two stepsons, Gary and Timothy Weinel, his son Kenneth D. Pennington, and his sister, Rose Lee, Ken is survived by his son, Glenn Pennington, daughter Lora Pennington, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his first cousins, Georgia and Sadie Tankersley, aged 101 and 98 years old, respectively.

Ken's life journey led him to Covington, Kentucky, where he helped his uncle run a store, built a life, raised a family, and worked at the Cincinnati Postal Annex sorting mail for 40 years. A Korean War Veteran and former Corporal in the U.S. Army, Ken's dedication to his family and hard work ethic were unwavering throughout his life.

His loved ones remember him as "A more honest, loving man could not be found on this earth," a testament to the impact he had on all who knew him.

Military services honoring Ken will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, Kentucky at 2:00 P.M. Floral Hills Funeral Home is providing support to the family during this challenging time. Condolences, memories, and messages for the family can be shared on the funeral home's website.

To honor Ken's memory, memorial trees or flowers can be arranged through the flower store. Kenneth E. "Ken" Pennington will be dearly missed and remembered for his unwavering love, hard work, and commitment to his family.
