Edward Thomas Smoot | Floral Hills Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home & Mausoleum
Coming from a lineage rooted in public service, Edward dedicated over 20 years of his life to community service. He worked as a maintenance worker for the state of Kentucky at the Northern Kentucky State Technical School in Covington, served as a police officer for the city of Florence, and volunteered for a collective 22 years as a firefighter and EMT in Bromley, Burlington, and Independence, achieving the rank of captain for the Independence division in 1991.
Edward is survived by his wife of 38 years, Constance Smoot (nee Brouillette), and his son, Tristan Smoot. At his request, Edward will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in a private service, as he wished for no formal services to be held.
To honor Edward's memory, memorial trees or flowers can be arranged through the flower store. Edward Thomas Smoot's legacy as a dedicated public servant and loving family man will be cherished by his loved ones.
