Delores “Mickey” Jean Gibson, affectionately known as Mickey, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 91. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, remembered for her kindness, humor, and generosity.
Mickey was born Delores Jean Holderby in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 23, 1933. She was married for 50 years to her husband Jerry N. Gibson and was the loving mother of 6 children. Mickey is survived by her children Mary Kathrine Haggard (Kathy), Debra Lynn Jeronimus (Debbie), and Harry E Faust, and is preceded in death by Charles Henry Byrnes (Chuck), Robert David Byrnes (Deaner or Dave), and Kimberly Ann Byrnes (Kim), as well as her parents Mary Grace Wright and Carl Lee Holderby.
Mickey is survived by 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, with 1 grandson preceding her in death. Apart from her family, Mickey had a passion for cooking, camping, and spending time with her children.
A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held on March 12, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A mass will follow at Mother of God Church in Covington, KY, on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
