Mary Marlene Cruse, a beloved sister, aunt, and valued member of the community, peacefully passed away in Edgewood, Kentucky on February 20, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Boone County, Kentucky, on August 7, 1946, Marlene was a spirited individual whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

Marlene dedicated twenty years of her professional life to DHL, where her impeccable work ethic, commitment, and friendly personality set her apart. Her retirement marked a new chapter filled with joy, embracing her passions and interests with zest and delight.

As a devoted member of the Northern Kentucky Baptist Church for over 15 years, Marlene found solace in faith and community, leading a life of purpose and connection with her church family. Her unwavering belief illuminated her path and the hearts of those around her.

Nature was Marlene's haven; she found solace and joy working in her yard on her beloved farm until her health declined. Her dogs were not just pets but beloved companions who brought her laughter and comfort.

A loving aunt, Marlene showered her many nieces and nephews with adoration, celebrating their achievements and fostering strong bonds. Her abundant love and support filled family gatherings with warmth, leaving a lasting impact on her loved ones.

Marlene leaves behind her sisters, Angie Herrmann and Nadine Kidd, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will carry her spirit forward. Her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those who knew her.

Preceded in death by her father, Charley Murphy Ferguson, mother, Ethel Ferguson (nee Creekmore), and brothers Jerry, Sammy Lee, and Kenneth Ferguson, their memories will forever be a beacon of light.

A private graveside service at Hughes Chapel Cemetery will honor Marlene's life.

In remembrance of Marlene, donations to the Bible Outreach program at Northern Kentucky Baptist Church are welcomed.

Marlene's laughter, strength, and love remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and joy that will be dearly cherished.
