The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Senator Rand Paul for re-election to the United States Senate. This announcement was made at a campaign event hosted by NFIB member small business, Hitching Post Inn, in Louisville.
Senator Rand Paul expressed his gratitude for the endorsement via Twitter: "Proud to be endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business today! Thanks to The Hitching Post Inn in Louisville for hosting the announcement and Tom Underwood from @NFIB for attending!"
Tom Underwood, NFIB Kentucky State Director, highlighted Senator Paul's advocacy for small businesses during his time in the Senate. "Senator Rand Paul has been a strong small business advocate in the Senate, serving as the Ranking Republican Member of the Senate Small Business Committee. We believe he will continue to deliver for Kentucky’s small businesses," said Underwood. He further noted that Senator Paul has contributed to pro-small business legislation, historic tax cuts, and opposed burdensome regulations and government overreach.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also voiced support: “On behalf of Kentucky’s small businesses, we are proud to endorse Senator Paul today for re-election. He is a former NFIB member and understands the challenges small businesses face every day. We are confident Senator Paul will continue to be a strong small business advocate in the Senate.”
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, NFIB's political action committee funded by voluntary contributions from its members beyond their membership dues. The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are guided by grassroots evaluation driven by its members.
