Robert Joseph Plummer, 73, of Independence, passed away on January 30, 2025. Born on February 20, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky, Robert was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and veteran. His life centered around his family and his passion for all things involving engines.

A United States Air Force veteran, Robert also had a successful career as a technician at Cincinnati Bell, where his expertise garnered him respect among his peers. Beyond his professional life, Robert found joy in riding motorcycles, relishing the freedom of the open road. This sense of adventure reflected his vibrant spirit and love for life. An avid reader, he found solace and pleasure in books.

Survived by his wife of 51 years, Catherine Maxine Plummer (Cordrey), his children Theresa Elaine Plummer (James Shackelford) and Jason Alexander Plummer (Amanda), granddaughters Madison, Abigail, Sarah, and Morgan, pet Gracie, brother Alfie Plummer (Sharon), sisters Jane Garner, Christie Finnell, Ruthann Barone, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Alfie and Ruth Morris Plummer, brothers John and James Plummer.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home Chapel A in Taylor Mill, KY. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor the life of Robert Joseph Plummer, a man known for his sense of humor and storytelling.

Robert will be remembered for his dedication to family, strong work ethic, and love for motorcycles, embodying a life filled with laughter and love.
