Linda Sue Oldiges | Floral Hills Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home & Mausoleum

Linda Sue Oldiges, 77, a resident of Independence, born on July 12, 1947, in Covington, Kentucky, peacefully passed away at her home on January 2, 2025. She was the daughter of Charles R. and Florence E. Burke Haggard, along with seven siblings, who have all preceded her in death.

With a commitment to serving others, Linda devoted 28 years to the Kenton County School District as the Cafeteria/Kitchen Manager at Woodland Middle School. Her dedication to preparing nutritious and delectable meals for students showcased her caring nature both professionally and personally. Linda's culinary skills were renowned, drawing visitors from across the county for her holiday feasts.

A former member of Latonia Christian Church, Linda's faith was a central part of her life. In addition to her career achievements, she found joy in cooking, watching hummingbirds, travel, and various games and puzzles. Holidays, dining out, and family gatherings were among the activities that brought her happiness.

Linda is survived by her children Michelle Tyson, John Oldiges, Dale Oldiges, Mike Oldiges, and Tricia Oldiges, sister Marsha Crouch, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as many loved ones.

A visitation to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.

Linda Sue Oldiges leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and commitment to her family and community that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
