WKU Softball will travel to Newark, Delaware, for its final Conference USA series of the season against the Blue Hens, beginning April 30.

The series is significant as it marks the first conference matchup between WKU and Delaware since the Blue Hens joined Conference USA in 2025. The games are scheduled at Delaware Softball Field with contests on Thursday at 4 p.m. CT, Friday at 4 p.m. CT, and Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.

WKU recently completed a perfect home record in conference play after sweeping Kennesaw State, becoming only the sixth team in Conference USA history to achieve an undefeated home conference season and the first to finish with a 15-0 mark. The Hilltoppers are ranked among the top 25 nationally in both earned run average (ERA) and batting average, with a combined ERA of 2.55 (12th nationally) and a .339 batting average (23rd nationally).

Individually, Jenna Blanton is second in the conference with a .424 batting average while Annie White is third at .421. Erica Houge leads Conference USA pitchers with an ERA of 2.01—good for No.Ā 30 nationwide—and has held opponents to a .194 batting average over more than 150 innings pitched this season.

Morgan Sharpe is approaching WKU’s single-season doubles record with her current total of sixteen doubles; Maci Masters has tied WKU’s single-season home run record at fifteen and has opportunities remaining this year to set a new mark. As a team, WKU’s offensive statistics—including batting average (.339), slugging percentage (.549), and on-base percentage (.413)—are currently program bests.

Delaware enters the weekend series with an overall record of 28-21 and stands at 15-9 within conference play. Sydney Shaffer leads their offense with fifteen home runs and forty-three runs batted in this season while pitcher Josie Crossman holds a team-best ERA ofĀ 3.22 across more than one hundred twenty innings pitched.
