Vincent George Schulte, 88, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on September 5, 2025. Born on August 1, 1937, in Covington, Kentucky, Vincent had emerged victorious in a prolonged battle with cancer, maintaining his strength and love for 64 years with his devoted wife, Jeannine, and their daughter, Cherie. Vincent, known as Vince, was a lifelong learner, earning degrees in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and embarking on a successful academic career, notably at Northern Kentucky University, also contributing to campus athletics. His commitment to service extended to his military career, where he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Overcoming leukemia with a bone marrow transplant, Vince lived the last years of his life valiantly, cherishing family time, exploring historic sites, and sharing passions with his loved ones. Vince had a warm spot for the outdoors, animals, basketball, and Jeopardy, and will be remembered for his zest for learning and love of UK Wildcats basketball. Vincent is survived by his wife, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. A Remembrance Service will be held at Madonna Manor in Villa Hills, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kenton County Animal Services, or Wounded Warrior Project are suggested to honor Vincent George Schulte’s memory.
