Vera “Jean” Heskamp, 94, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was a dedicated Catholic, finding immense joy in her faith and church. Her zest for life included oil painting, square dancing, gardening, and creating delightful treats in the kitchen, such as her popular bourbon and strawberry slushies.

Jean is survived by her children Diane Hardcorn (Ed), David Heskamp (Therese), Patti LeForce (Ken), and Joe Heskamp (Elain), grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and brother, Jim Eggemeyer (Joan). She will be fondly remembered for her warmth, smile, and love for family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Mother of God Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Linnemann Event Center in Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
