Terrie H. Rogers, born on July 3, 1946, in Seattle, WA, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2025. She was a devoted and accomplished woman who excelled in her career in the medical field and research, with degrees from Michigan State University, Duke University, and the University of Michigan. Terrie enjoyed playing tennis, golf, walking, euchre, and duplicate bridge.

Her generous spirit extended to supporting social organizations, notably the DCCH Center for Children and Families. Terrie is survived by her son, Jason Rogers, grandson Derron Rogers, brother Ted Hazard, daughter-in-law Saythong Phouasavanh, and son Drake Phouasavanh. A funeral service will be held on September 14th at Linnemann Funeral Homes. Donations to the DCCH Center for Children and Families are welcomed in her memory. Terrie will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and grace.

Bellarmine University to confer 836 degrees at May 9 commencement ceremony

Bellarmine University plans to award more than eight hundred degrees during its upcoming commencement on May 9. The event features speakers Dr. Aaron Thompson and Rachel Greenberg who will both receive honorary degrees. The university is celebrating its seventy-fifth anniversary this year.
