Sarah Morris has been sentenced to over six years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine across Kentucky. Authorities say she supplied multiple customers between December 2023 and January 2025.
Laurance Newby from Lexington has been sentenced to fifteen years in prison for armed fentanyl trafficking following an investigation involving several federal agencies. Authorities recovered significant quantities of drugs and a loaded firearm during his arrest.
April is now recognized as Goat Month by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture following an announcement on April 2 at Lakeview Park in Frankfort. Officials highlighted goats’ contributions both economically and agriculturally across Kentucky farms.
