Alma Luciene Duff, Dedicated Kroger Employee and Beloved Matriarch, Passes Away at 94

Alma Luciene Duff | Linnemann Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Burlington

Alma Luciene Duff, a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Hebron, Kentucky on April 3, 2025. Born on February 24, 1931, in Booneville, Kentucky, Alma spent 37 years working in the meat department at Kroger, where she was known for her hard work and unwavering commitment. She was a passionate Cincinnati Reds fan and enjoyed following her favorite team.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Jo Hunt, grandchildren, Heather Shepherd and Derek Dunaway, and great-grandchildren Ellen Chadwell, Christian Chadwell, and Olivia Madeline Dunaway. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Duff, son Jay Duff, son-in-law David Hunt, and siblings Madeline Chafin, Rowena McIntosh, Morley Moore, and Denny Moore.

A visitation for Alma will be held on April 9, 2025 at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, Kentucky, with a service to follow. Alma will be laid to rest at Everton Cemetery in Everton, Indiana. Her memory will be cherished by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
