In a recent announcement, NFIB State Director Tom Underwood highlighted the voting accomplishments of Kentucky's General Assembly members during the 2023-24 legislative session. Underwood revealed that 103 legislators, comprising 28 senators and 75 representatives, achieved perfect NFIB voting records.

Underwood emphasized the significance of these results, stating, "Kentucky’s economy is built on its small businesses, and this year’s voting record shows the vast majority of the commonwealth’s 138 legislators support the small business position on critical issues ranging from tax relief to broadband development."

He further noted the impact on the state’s economic climate by remarking, "It’s this level of support that enables our small businesses to grow and create jobs in these uncertain economic times."

The 2023-24 voting record comprises seven important votes. More details, including the full results and issue explanations, are available online. However, Underwood cautioned that the NFIB voting record does not cover all facets lawmakers consider, nor does it provide a comprehensive profile of legislators. Additionally, it excludes committee actions that are beneficial to small businesses.
