Covington, KY - Les Jay Lindsey, a devoted husband, father, and sports enthusiast, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Erlanger, KY, at the age of 75. Born on January 25, 1950, in Covington, KY, Les was the son of Les and Helen Lindsey and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, an experience that left a lasting impact on him.

Les dedicated 40 years to his career as a machinist, showcasing his commitment and skill in his craft. His love for sports, particularly Cincinnati Bengals Football, Cincinnati Reds Baseball, and UK Wildcats Basketball, was evident to all who knew him, and he enjoyed engaging in friendly debates about his favorite teams. In his downtime, he found joy in fishing, embracing the outdoors, listening to music, and sharing a cold beer with friends.

In addition to his career and sports passion, Les was a loving husband of 51 years to Donna Lindsey and a devoted father to Sara, Mandy, and Jessica. He treasured his role as a grandfather to Christopher and Brooklyn Backus. Les is also survived by his brother Jack Lindsey and sisters Janice Kammerer, Rita Skaggs, and Suzanne Davis, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Les will be held on March 8, 2025, from 2-6 PM at JRG Lofts in Covington, KY. The family welcomes online messages of condolences on Facebook or SerenityFuneralCare.com, along with donations to the American Heart Association in memory of Les.

Les will be fondly remembered for his strong family bonds, his humor, and his generous and kind-hearted nature. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will be kept alive by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
