Melody Hofmann, Devoted Wife and Animal Lover, Passes Away at 70

Melody Lynn Palm Hofmann of Union, KY, passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on July 20, 1954, in Covington, Kentucky, Melody was known for her resilience, kindness, and love for animals.

A graduate of Campbell County High School, Melody pursued her education at Eastern Kentucky University, where she excelled in Banking and Economics. She had a fulfilling career in bookkeeping and finance, displaying dedication and passion in her work. Melody married Norman Hofmann in 1983, and together they shared a love for animals and spoiling their pets.

Melody was considered twice a miracle due to her early birth and a kidney transplant from her brother that extended her life by 23 years. A devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Grove City, Ohio, Melody will be remembered for her love for her family, including her brother Jim Palm, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephew.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Melody will be fondly remembered by her family and friends, including her cousins Brenda Sprague-Kagy and Debra Palm, who supported her in her final days. She will also be missed by her beloved cat, Muffin. A visitation and memorial service will be held on January 24 at First Presbyterian Church in Grove City, with burial following on January 25 at Butler County Memorial Park in Hamilton, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to the church, Lifeline of Ohio, or Shriners Hospital for Children. Memorial trees or flowers in honor of Melody Hofmann can be ordered at the flower store.
