Covington native Betty Jean Cross, 96, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was survived by her son Edward Michael Cross and her daughters Sheridan Lynn Zollett (Scott) and Melinda Cross Nau (Donald).

Cross also leaves behind grandchildren Amy Reed (David), Jared Zollett, Lauren Zollett, Amanda Cross (Shawn Banks), and Jennifer Webb (Sean), along with great-grandchildren Audrey Gray (Aaron), Adam Reed, Ava Reed, Stella Banks, and Aidan Webb, and great-great-granddaughter Brooklynn Gray. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Avid gardener and traveler, Cross was known for her cooking skills and her strong faith as a member of the Florence Methodist Church. Services are private.
