William "Bill" Coughlin | Stith Funeral Home and Cremation Center

Florence, Kentucky - William "Bill" Coughlin III, aged 63, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital-Florence, KY. Born in Turnersville, New Jersey, he was a beloved son of William Coughlin II and Sheila. Bill was a loving husband to Barbara and a devoted father to William IV, Mary, and Matthew. He cherished his role as "Pop Pop" to grandsons, Archie and Scottie. Bill was a cherished brother, uncle, and brother-in-law.

A United States Navy veteran, Bill earned his Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration from Widener University and had a successful career in the hospitality industry. From room service waiter to Senior Vice President of Operations, Bill's leadership and sense of humor endeared him to all. His love of travel and adventure led him to various states and roles, culminating in the successful establishment of Maplewood Kitchen & Bar in Cincinnati. Bill was a mentor to many young hoteliers and always shared his wisdom and expertise generously.

Proud of his children and grandsons, Bill enjoyed golf, fishing, travel, and evenings with loved ones near the fire pit. He appreciated Bruce Springsteen and Frank Sinatra, and took pleasure in the simple joys of life. Bill's Irish heritage and Catholic faith were central to his life, and he was a dependable presence for his family and friends in times of need. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
