FOIA Request to Kentucky State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.
In a recent effort to promote transparency and accountability in the education sector, we at Bluegrass Times have sent a request under the Kentucky Open Records Act § 61.872 et seq. to the Kentucky State Board of Education. The request specifically seeks a comprehensive list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools, including all required courses and general instruction.
As an organization committed to providing accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
