Michael Alan Wirth, 68, Marine Corps Veteran Remembered for Kindness and Love of Music

Michael Alan Wirth, age 68, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on November 18, 2024. Born on July 20, 1956, in Covington, to Elmer and Florence (Niemer) Wirth, Michael proudly served his country in the Marine Corps and dedicated years to his role as a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. Known for his commitment, kindness, and occasional heroic acts, he left a lasting impact on those around him.

A passionate music lover, Mike found joy in his favorite tunes and singing along with loved ones in Apartment B. He supported UK sports, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. However, above all, he treasured moments with his wife, children, and grandchildren, creating enduring memories with his family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Steve Wirth, Margaret Huff, Rita Gorley, Tom Wirth, and his daughter, Billie Jo Mize. He is survived by his wife Canis Wirth (Cox), children Adam (Patrice) Wirth, Jordan (Patrick) Mize, grandson Beau Wirth, granddaughter Aven Wirth, siblings Mary Clark, Marty, Gary, Jim, and Vinny Wirth, along with numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UC Liver Center or Kenton County Animal Shelter.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a celebration of life beginning at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions in Erlanger, KY.

Michael's kind spirit and passion for music will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. Memories and special messages can be shared with his family in the guestbook. Memorial trees or flowers can be sent in memory of Michael A. Wirth through the funeral home's flower store.
