FLORENCE, KY - Mary Etta Lawson, 79, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on October 27, 2024. Lawson, born in Covington, KY to Charles and Ethel King Galbraith, was a member of the Florence Church of God Family Worship Center and a retired Tax Examiner with the IRS. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jerry Ray Lawson, who passed away in 2006.

Survived by her sons James Lawson (Evelyn) and Charles Lawson (Tina), 4 grandchildren (Charles, Cayden, Kayla, and Peyton), 1 step-grandson Rick, and brother James Galbraith (Glenna), Lawson's visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, KY. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill, KY.
