FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 8, 2023) – A judicial panel yesterday granted a motion to move antitrust case against Alphabet, Inc., the parent company of Google, back to a federal court in Texas. Attorney General Daniel Cameron and 16 other attorneys general initiated the litigation to protect consumers from Google’s anticompetitive and deceptive advertising practices.

Following the ruling, Attorney General Cameron commented:

“Google’s monopolistic business practices have no place in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Yesterday’s ruling is the first step toward restoring competition and fairness in the marketplace and guaranteeing that Google plays by the same rules as everyone else. I’m grateful to the panel for its ruling, and I look forward to continuing this case in the Eastern District of Texas.”
