Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) guaranteed that he will vote for former President Donald Trump if the latter becomes the presidential nominee for the Republican Party in 2024.
McConnell said on Fox News that he will “absolutely” vote for Trump when asked by Bret Baier.
The first sign that Donald Trump is eyeing the 2024 presidential election was when Lara Trump, his daughter-in-law and former senior adviser, said that the real estate mogul is still interested in running for office again.
Lara Trump told Fox News that her father-in-law is not down and out for the count. She said that Trump is the only person who can make the Republican Party stronger again. She said that “this man has changed politics, and he has changed our party, the Republican Party. There is no doubt about it.”
Donald Trump, on the other hand, seems to be playing his cards close to his vest as he told Newsmax’s Greg Kelly that it’s too early to confirm that he is indeed running for office again in 2024. He did say though that he has been looking at his polls and is happy that a lot of Republicans are eager to support him.
