Rockville home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Rockville rose by $2,056 while total sales increased by 13.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 296 homes sold, with a median sale price of $502,500 - a 0.4% increase over the $500,444 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 260 homes sold in Rockville in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Rockville for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $6,949, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
