Seven Murray State softball players receive All-Missouri Valley Conference honors

Seven members of the Murray State softball team received All-Missouri Valley Conference honors, according to a May 6 announcement from the league office in St. Louis.

The recognition highlights the achievements of several players who contributed significantly during the season. Adison Hicks was named to the All-MVC First Team after returning from injury and posting a .317 batting average, with 44 hits, 33 runs batted in, seven home runs, and ten stolen bases. Hicks also recorded a .922 fielding percentage at second base.

Allie Waldron was selected for the All-MVC Second Team following her freshman year. Waldron achieved a .329 batting average with 46 hits and started all 47 games as catcher, committing only three errors throughout the season. Kenley Minor joined her on the Second Team after leading Murray State with eight home runs and tying a school record by driving in seven runs during one game.

Other Second Team honorees include Parker Holcombe, who returned mid-season from injury to finish with a .321 batting average; Kynadee Warner, who led the team offensively with a .366 average and maintained a perfect fielding percentage; and senior pitcher Bre Haislip, who posted an 11-8 record along with seven complete games and two shutouts.

Bailey Broemmer was named to the MVC All-Defensive Team for her performance in center field. She ended her senior year hitting .317 with seven home runs while recording just one error for a .988 fielding percentage.
