Ruth Mary Stephan, known for her grace and wisdom, peacefully departed in Edgewood, Kentucky, surrounded by her devoted son and daughter-in-law. Born in Muskegon, Michigan, Ruth was the youngest daughter of William Ward and Edith Brown. She graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 1954 in Hartford City, Indiana, before attending Indiana University, where she met her lifelong love, Norman Michael Stephan. Together, they raised two sons, Doug and Craig, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. An accomplished accountant, Ruth co-authored a bridge book and achieved the rank of Life Master. She took numerous cruises and treasured a 50th anniversary celebration in Cancun with her family. Ruth’s legacy of love and quiet strength lives on through her surviving family. A visitation and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Serenity Funeral Care in Covington, Kentucky.
