A Richmond, Kentucky man has been sentenced to 360 months in federal prison for producing child pornography. Glen Long, Jr., 48, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell.
According to court documents, the case began on July 28, 2023, when a mother reported to law enforcement that her minor child had sent nude images to an unknown adult online in exchange for money for the video game Roblox. Authorities examined the victim’s cellphone and found explicit messages. They identified Long as the adult involved. Investigators determined that Long knew the victim was 14 years old but lied about his own age, claiming he was 16. When questioned by law enforcement, Long admitted to using the minor victim to produce explicit visual depictions of child pornography.
Long will be required by federal law to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for release. After completing his prison term, he will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for life.
The sentencing was announced by Paul McCaffrey, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Rana Saoud, Special Agent in Charge with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); and Sheriff Mike Coyle of Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Homeland Security Investigations and Madison County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erin Roth prosecuted the case.
