Papa Johns announced on May 5 a new partnership with Disney and Pixar to celebrate the upcoming release of Toy Story 5, introducing special edition personal pizzas inspired by the film. The collaboration marks the first time the Toy Story franchise has teamed up with a pizza brand for a movie launch.
The partnership is significant as it brings together two well-known brands that focus on quality and creativity. Jenna Bromberg, Chief Marketing Officer at Papa Johns, said, “This collaboration unites two iconic brands rooted in quality, creativity and bringing people together. The joy and imagination of Toy Story, combined with our commitment to great pizza is an authentic way for us to create something special – and delicious – for our fans.”
Chris Lyn-Sue, Senior Vice President and General Manager of International at Papa Johns, said that this initiative will reach multiple markets worldwide: “In the first pizza collaboration for a Toy Story movie release, we’re celebrating Toy Story5 across multiple markets, making this one of our biggest international collaborations to date.” Lylle Breier from The Walt Disney Studios added: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Papa Johns and bring Toy Story to fans in a whole new flavor – literally. Our collaboration is the perfect blend of comfort, nostalgia and something refreshingly new, taking the celebration to infinity and beyond.”
The campaign includes limited-edition collectibles featuring characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie available in select international markets while supplies last. It also features merchandise, immersive experiences such as an in-app game in certain regions worldwide through July. A custom-animated spot produced by Pixar Animation Studios will be released June 1st as part of a broader media campaign.
Toy Story 5 personal pizzas are made using Papa Johns’ original dough containing six simple ingredients without artificial flavors or colors. In the United States each pizza comes paired with Rootin’ Tootin’ Ranch Dip cup—a creamy ranch-based sauce infused with pepperoni flavor—while international customers may receive character collectibles when purchasing eligible items.
The themed pizzas will be available nationwide in the U.S., starting at $6.99 from June 1 through July 19; they will also be offered across forty-two international markets for a limited time.
