Northern Kentucky University announced on May 7 that Lucia Auza Molina has signed with the Norse women’s basketball team.

The addition of Auza brings experience from a championship-winning program. She was a starter for the Eastern Arizona Monsters, who won the 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national title.

“Lucia is a versatile guard/forward who thrives in an up-tempo system,” said NKU head coach Jeff Hans. “She excels in transition, using her speed and instincts to get downhill and finish at the rim. Beyond her scoring ability, she’s an active rebounder on both ends of the floor, she’s a true competitor.”

Auza averaged 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game during her season with Eastern Arizona while starting in most games and playing nearly twenty minutes per contest. She contributed to her team’s overall record of 33-2 and their perfect conference play record as they secured both an ACCAC regular season title and a high seed in the NJCAA tournament.

During key tournament games, Auza played significant minutes—37 minutes in a quarterfinal win over Southern Idaho where she tallied six points, five assists, and four rebounds; she also played 28 minutes with six points and five rebounds in the championship victory.

Over two seasons at Eastern Arizona College, Auza accumulated notable statistics including over four hundred points scored along with strong rebounding numbers.

Hans said that beyond her athletic abilities on court, Auza is recognized for being competitive across all aspects of play.
