Northern Kentucky University Norse men’s golf team concluded its spring season with a tenth-place finish at the Horizon League Championships, according to an April 27 announcement. The tournament took place at Mission Inn in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, spanning from Saturday to Monday.
The event marked the end of the 2026 spring campaign for the Norse. The team recorded a combined score of 52-over par, with round scores of 301, 310, and 305.
Zack Beard led Northern Kentucky individually by finishing tied for eleventh place. Beard completed the championship five-over par after posting rounds of 71, 76, and 74 on the par-72 course. His opening round score was tied for seventh-best among all competitors in that round. Beard made twelve birdies during the tournament, including six in his final round.
Michael Long was next for NKU with scores of 78, 78, and 79 over three days. He finished forty-first overall at nineteen-over par and made four birdies throughout play. Isaac Moody started strong with a first-round score of seventy-two but ended up twenty-one over par in forty-third place. Micah Bertram finished forty-fourth at twenty-three over par after rounds of eighty-two, seventy-three, and eighty-four.
Caleb Eaglin contributed an eighty followed by a sub-seventy-one score while Brady Holmes shot an eighty-three in his second round to complete Northern Kentucky’s group of scorers.
