Murray State men’s basketball announced on April 27 the signing of Christian Jones, a 6-foot-4 point guard who previously played for George Washington in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The addition of Jones brings experience to the Racers’ roster, as he appeared in 68 games with 55 starts over two seasons at George Washington. He averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.6 rebounds during his time with the Revolutionaries.
“Christian brings in a wealth of high-level playing experience from his time in the A-10 and will have an immediate impact on our roster,” head coach Ryan Miller said. “He is an elite passer with excellent vision who will allow our offense to flow freely up the court and has incredible length with an 80-inch wingspan. We are excited to welcome Christian to the Racer Family.”
During his redshirt sophomore season, Jones started every game for George Washington and averaged 10 points, three rebounds, and just over three assists per contest while shooting more than forty-five percent overall and thirty-six percent from three-point range. In a matchup against Murray State at the Cayman Islands Classic, he scored fourteen points on six-of-nine shooting.
Jones earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team honors in his first season at George Washington during the 2024-25 campaign by averaging nearly nine points per game along with team-leading assist numbers.
