The University of Louisville baseball team will start a seven-game road trip with a three-game series against Wake Forest, beginning Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET. The games will be televised on the ACC Network, and radio coverage is scheduled for 93.9 The Ville for the first two games and 970 WGTK on Saturday.

This series marks an important stretch as Louisville enters the final month of its regular season with only 11 games remaining, most of which are against teams that have been ranked this spring. The Cardinals recently saw their five-game winning streak end with a 10-6 loss to Indiana, during which Jimmy Nugent hit his fourth home run in three games.

Historically, Louisville holds a record of 22-12-1 over Wake Forest in their previous meetings but has lost three consecutive series to the Demon Deacons after dropping the first two games in each before winning the finale. Since joining the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Louisville has compiled a record of 63-44-2 in ACC series and is particularly strong in series finales.

On individual performances, Tague Davis set a new single-season home run record for Louisville with 26 homers through just 45 games as a sophomore and currently leads the nation in both home runs and RBIs. Lucas Moore continues to excel on basepaths, entering Tuesday’s game having stolen bases successfully on 31 out of his last 36 attempts this season—ranking him ninth nationally—and now sits second all-time at Louisville with over one hundred career steals. Nugent has also contributed significantly since transferring from Lincoln Trail College, improving his batting average substantially over recent weeks and delivering key hits including walk-off home runs.
