Erlanger, Kentucky – Lone Soto, a vibrant and selfless soul known for her boundless kindness and unwavering generosity, passed away peacefully in her home on July 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Born on April 24, 1959, in Randers, Denmark, Lone’s legacy is one of resilience and positivity, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A devoted mother, Lone poured her heart into her children – Jennifer, Mikael, Christina, and Nicholas. Her unconditional love and steadfast support were a source of pride, guiding her children with gentle encouragement and unwavering devotion. Memories of their time together, infused with Lone’s love, will forever shine as beacons of light in their lives.
As a cherished sister to Myra (Robert) Boehl, Helle Termansen, and Marianne (Torben) Termansen, and a beloved sister-in-law to Lone Helbo, Lone nurtured strong familial bonds with her thoughtful and loving nature. She was the heart of her family, fostering connections and ensuring that love permeated every gathering.
Lone’s diverse interests mirrored her commitment to capturing life’s beauty. A talented photographer, she graciously volunteered her skills, immortalizing precious moments for friends and the community. Deeply passionate about genealogy, she meticulously traced family histories, uniting loved ones with their ancestral roots.
In the community, Lone’s dedication to preserving cultural legacies was evident through her involvement in the Scandinavian Society of Cincinnati, where she served as Vice President. She played a vital role in nurturing Danish-American friendships through the Rebild Society, hosting successful galas to foster a sense of camaraderie among fellow members.
Known for her exceptional gravy and delightful cookies, Lone’s culinary talents brightened the days of hospital staff during her visits. Her unwavering optimism in the face of adversity inspired all who knew her, embodying a spirit of strength and resilience.
Preceded in death by her father, Ivan Termandsen, mother, Elly Kristensen, and brother, Flemming Engberg Jensen, their enduring memories enriched Lone’s life and the love she shared with those around her.
Visitation to honor Lone Soto will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2pm – 4pm, followed by a service at Newcomer Funeral Home. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering spirit will endure in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
