A London, Kentucky man and former paramedic, Bradley Callahan, age 38, has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison for distributing child pornography. U.S. District Judge Claria Horn Boom handed down a sentence of 162 months after Callahan pleaded guilty to making several posts on a dark web marketplace in September 2023 that contained links to explicit videos involving minors.

According to court documents, Callahan shared multiple videos of child pornography through these online posts. Federal law requires him to serve at least 85 percent of his prison term. After completing his sentence, he will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for ten years.

Paul McCaffrey, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Olivia Olson, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Louisville Field Office, announced the sentencing. The FBI led the investigation into Callahan’s activities. Assistant U.S. Attorney Justin Blankenship prosecuted the case.

“This case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood,” officials stated. “Project Safe Childhood is a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.” The program brings together federal, state, and local resources to pursue individuals who exploit children online and works to identify and rescue victims.
