Kenyata Carbon has signed to transfer to the Morehead State men’s basketball program, according to an April 28 announcement from the team.

Carbon, a guard from Owensboro, Kentucky, played three seasons at Lindsey Wilson College. He scored more than 1,300 points during his time there and was named the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference Player of the Year as well as a NAIA Second-Team All-American.

Head Coach Jonathan Mattox said, “Kenyata is a great addition to our program. Anytime you can add a player that was both player of the year in his conference and an All-American, regardless of the level, means you are getting a high-quality player. We love Kenyata’s ability to break the defense down off the dribble and create shots for himself and others. We’re very excited about what he will bring to Morehead State.”

In his three years at Lindsey Wilson, Carbon accumulated 1,380 points, nearly 400 rebounds, over 300 assists and more than 150 steals. He averaged 19 points per game in his final season while leading his team to an 18-win campaign and an appearance in the NAIA national tournament. Throughout last season he scored in double figures all but two games and reached at least thirty points four times.

Before college, Carbon played for Owensboro High School where he was recognized as First-Team All-District and All-Region while scoring over 1,700 career points.
