Mason Williams, a four-star point guard from Tennessee Collegiate Academy, has signed with the Kentucky men’s basketball team for the 2027 season, according to an April 22 announcement.
Williams is ranked No. 109 overall in the class of 2026 by 247Sports and No. 124 by Rivals. He stands at six-foot-two and weighs 205 pounds.
During his senior year, Williams averaged 15.1 points, 5.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game while shooting efficiently from the field (60 percent), three-point range (41 percent), and free-throw line (89 percent). His most notable performance came when he scored 23 points with five rebounds and five assists as Tennessee Collegiate Academy upset top-ranked Prolific Prep in November.
Before attending TCA, Williams played for Germantown High School in Gluckstadt, Mississippi where he helped secure the school’s first-ever state title in 2025. The previous year, he won a state championship at Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi alongside his brother Michael.
Williams is the son of Mo Williams, Kentucky’s new assistant coach who spent thirteen years as an NBA player before serving as head coach at Jackson State University. Mo Williams was named an NBA All-Star in 2009 and won a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.
A Dallas native, Mason Williams chose Kentucky over offers from Texas Tech, Memphis, Ole Miss and Washington.
