The Kentucky General Assembly is scheduled to start its 2026 regular session on January 6. During the session, legislators will address matters related to the state’s economy and the environment for small businesses.
Tom Underwood, State Director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in Kentucky, said that his organization plans to monitor developments during the session. “Kentucky’s economy is built on its Main Street businesses, and we’ll stay involved to make sure the voice of small business is heard,” Underwood stated. “We look forward to working with our elected leaders on legislation help our members own, operate, and grow their businesses.”
NFIB has indicated it will provide ongoing updates to its members regarding legislative actions that may impact them or their businesses throughout this period.
