Joyce Fay Griffin, 73, of Independence, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood. Born on January 4, 1952, in Covington, Kentucky, Joyce was the daughter of the late William G. Williams and Martha Turner Williams. She dedicated her professional life to the Internal Revenue Service as a Tax Examiner. Joyce’s greatest joy was her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings and remembered for her love and dedication to her family. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Griffin, and several siblings. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on September 20, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Taylor Mill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Floral Hills Funeral Home.
