Joseph Jeremiah McCarthy VII, age 89, of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2025, at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home. An esteemed U.S. Army veteran, Joe was known for his culinary skills, strength in his later years, and his passion for music and history, embracing his Irish heritage. He sang with choirs such as the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus and the Mother of God Church Choir. Remembered for his kindness, humor, and love for family, Joe is survived by his wife, Angela, children David McCarthy, Anne Wildman, Joseph McCarthy, and Monica Ashcraft, and grandchildren Kevin Varnum and Meghan Varnum Young.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Church in Crescent Springs, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass at 11:30 a.m., followed by interment at St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Ft. Mitchell. Memorial contributions may be made to The Parish Kitchen or Bluegrass Care Navigators. Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Kentucky, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
