West Chester Township, Ohio – Jerald “Jerry” Bray passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at The Barrington in West Chester Township, Ohio, at the age of 95. Born on June 16, 1930, in Grants Lick, KY, to Myrta Gosney Bray and Melvin Bray, Jerry’s life was characterized by love, family, and service.

Jerry shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Betty Jane Bray, until her passing in July 2018. Together, they raised a daughter, Linda Schuler (Steven), and a son, Steven Bray (Mavis), who survive him. The couple enjoyed many adventures and travels with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will endure.

A longtime resident of Northern Kentucky, Jerry devoted most of his career to Cincinnati Gas and Electric before his retirement. As a proud US Air Force veteran, Jerry served as a sergeant at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, TX. Throughout his life, Jerry was an active member of the Masonic lodge, embodying principles of camaraderie and service.

In his youth, Jerry enjoyed tennis, golf, leatherworking, boating, and participated in church service at the Methodist Church in Alexandria. His love for sports, crafts, and community involvement manifested his vibrant spirit and dedication to a life well-lived.

Jerry is survived by his grandchildren, Kurtis Schuler, Kara Schuler, Kristen Holbrook (Kenton), and Joshua Bray (Sarah), along with six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Glenn “Pete” Bray, and grandson, Daniel Bray.

Visitation and a Masonic service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 12-2 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Garden, Chapel B in Taylor Mill, with a military graveside service to follow. Jerry’s life will be celebrated and honored with the dignity and respect he deserves.
