The Jackson Driver Licensing Regional Office in Frankfort, Kentucky, will temporarily close at noon each day due to ongoing HVAC issues. Residents are advised to schedule appointments in advance, renew their licenses online, or visit other regional offices if needed.

“The temporary cooling solutions we are using are only adequate to keep our customers and employees safe and comfortable for a portion of the day given the intense summer heat,” said KYTC Commissioner of Vehicle Regulation Matthew Cole. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we strive for a permanent solution as soon as possible.”

Staff from the Jackson office will continue their work at another regional office after the noon closures. Updates on office hours can be found at drive.ky.gov. A full list of KYTC Driver Licensing Regional Offices is available online.
