WKU Baseball will host Eastern Kentucky University in their final mid-week game on Wednesday, May 6. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. Central Time at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green.

The game is significant as it marks the last non-conference mid-week contest for the Hilltoppers this season. Fans can listen to the broadcast through The Varsity Network or follow updates via social media accounts @WKU_Baseball and @WKUSports.

Western Kentucky enters the matchup with a record of 26-22 overall and an 11-13 mark in Conference USA play. Last weekend, WKU won two out of three games against Middle Tennessee, highlighted by Cael Frost’s offensive performance that included four hits, five RBIs, and three home runs over the series. Gavin Perry contributed with a complete game shutout during Saturday’s win, becoming the first Hilltopper to achieve this since March 2023.

Lane Arroyos leads WKU offensively with a .381 batting average, .491 on-base percentage, and .636 slugging percentage. He has collected 67 hits and driven in 48 runs so far this season. Arroyos also tops Conference USA in doubles (22) and leads his team alongside Hayden Robbins (.330 average) and Camden Ross (.303 average). As a team, WKU has hit 104 doubles this year—first in Conference USA and seventeenth nationally—and holds a pitching staff ERA of 5.41.

Historically, Western Kentucky leads the all-time series against Eastern Kentucky with an overall record of 80-64-2. In their most recent meetings—including an April matchup earlier this season—the Hilltoppers have secured decisive victories.

Eastern Kentucky comes into Wednesday’s game with a record of 12-36 overall and stands at fifth place in ASUN conference play after dropping two out of three games against Lipscomb last weekend.
