Pike County Public Library’s Genealogy Group meets the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month to share family history and family trees, photographs, and research.
Meetings are held from 3:00-5:00 in the Genealogy Room (second floor) of the Lee Avenue library.

Kentucky ranks 45 among U.S. states for teacher starting salaries, with an average starting salary of $39,204 in 2024, according to the National Education Association (NEA).
In the Center for Education Reform’s 2024 Parent Power Index, Kentucky secured the thirty-sixth position, with an Overall Parent Power Index Score of 62.9%.
As Florida becomes the latest state to create an education savings account (ESA) program, an analysis by the Bluegrass Times shows that Kentucky is not one of 11 states that has such a program.
